Peter Kaye, MD

Dr. Kaye is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and in general surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive colon and rectal cancer surgery, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, fecal incontinence, and anorectal problems such as hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulae. He received his MD from the Rosalind Frank University of Medicine and Science-Chicago Medical School. Dr. Kaye did his general surgery residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, in New York City, where he received the Chief Resident of the Year Award, followed by a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, in Columbus, Ohio. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and of the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Dr. Kaye has been the Associate Program Director of the General Surgery Residency since 2021. He has received the Surgical Excellence in Teaching Award from 2021-2023, and Surgical Educator of the Year in 2022 and 2023.
