Preparing for Your Appointment

  • Drink 1 glass of water 15 minutes before your appointment and do not empty your bladder. Eating is permitted.
  • Bring your prescription, referral/preauthorization form(s) (if necessary), insurance card, photo identification and completed Maternal-Fetal Medicine Personal History form. If you are having genetic testing, you can also complete your Genetic Counseling form.

Getting Your Results

Test results are typically available immediately. A physician with specialized training in maternal-fetal medicine will analyze and explain those results to you and share them with your obstetrician. We will take as much time as necessary to address any concerns you may have. No question is too big or too small, so please don’t hesitate to ask.
